Dr. Anne Flanagan MB BCh BAO DCH DObs MRCGP MICGP

 

 
Dr. Anne Flanagan studied medicine in UCD, and did her G.P training in Ireland and Scotland. She also worked in Melbourne, Australia for six months. She holds her diploma in Obstetrics and in Child Health. She is a member of both the Irish college of General Practitioners and the Royal College of General practitioners and her special interests are women's health, maternity care, breast-feeding and psychological aspects of illness. She is also qualified in contraceptive mirena insertion.


Dr. Valerie Flood MB BCh BAO DCH GDipDerm MICGP

 
Dr. Valerie Flood is a U.C.D. graduate and worked in hospital medicine in Ireland and Australia. She completed her G.P. vocational training in Ireland and is a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners. She is currently on the Specialist Registrar for GPs with the medical council. She holds diplomas in Child Health, Dermatology and has family planning qualifications. Her Special interests include women's health, maternity care, paediatrics and preventative medicine. She is also trained in Implanon contraceptive device insertion.

  Dr. Caroline O'Connor LRCP & SI MB BCh NUI MICGP

 

Dr Caroline O'Connor is from Portmarnock and graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2008.  Following completion of her Internship in Beaumont Hospital in 2009, she went on to complete the RCSI Dublin North East GP Training Scheme, gaining experience in Paediatrics, Women's Health, Medicine for the Elderly, Psychiatry and Palliative Care. She is enjoying the opportunity to serve her own community in Portmarnock.


  Practice Nurse, Ms. Shona O'Rourke RGN


Ms. Shona O'Rourke is our practice nurse. After training in the London Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Shona worked in St. James Hospital and in women's health in the Family Planning Clinic. She runs a phlebotomy (blood testing) service on Wednesday and Friday mornings and holds childhood immunisation clinics on Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday and Friday mornings. She also provides the following services:- Cervical smear testing, travel vaccinations, flu vaccinations, depo and vitamin B12 injections, wound dressings, Chicken Pox vaccination, Meningitis B vaccinations, blood pressure checks, 24 hour blood pressure monitoring.
